The Lesson Planner is a powerful tool designed to assist teachers in creating, organizing, and managing their lesson plans efficiently
¶ Select the Subject and Grade
- Open the Lesson Planner.
- From the drop-down menu, select the subject and grade level you want to create a lesson plan for. For example, you might select "Science" for "Grade 7".
- Once you have selected the subject and grade, you will see a list of existing lessons for that category.
- Each lesson will display the date, title, topic, and duration. You can see detailed information about each lesson, such as "Exploring Photosynthesis" or "Introduction to Cells".
- To create a new lesson, click the "Create New Lesson" button.
- Fill in the required fields:
- Lesson Title: Enter the title of the lesson.
- Lesson Date: Choose the date for the lesson.
- Duration: Specify the duration of the lesson in minutes.
- Lesson Topic: Enter the topic of the lesson.
- Lesson Unit: Select the relevant unit from the drop-down menu.
- Standards Alignment: Enter any standards the lesson aligns with.

In the Lesson Framework section, select the components that will be included in your lesson plan. These can include:
- Learning Objectives
- Instructional Steps
- Assessment
- Materials Needed
- Main Activity
- Conclusion
- Group Activity
- Differentiation Strategies
- Extensions
- Reflection

Check the boxes for the components you want to include and provide details for each.
- After filling out all the necessary information, click the "Create" button to save the lesson.
- The lesson will now appear in the list of lessons for the selected subject and grade.
- Click on a lesson to view or edit its details.
- You can add, modify, or delete activities within each lesson component. For example, you might add specific learning objectives, materials needed, or steps for the main activity.
¶ Finalize and Generate the Lesson Plan
- Once all activities and details are completed, you can finalize the lesson plan by clicking the "Generate Lesson Plan" button. This feature leverages AI to generate the lesson plan based on the provided details.
- You can also copy or delete the lesson plan using the respective buttons.
- Review the completed lesson plan to ensure all details are accurate.
- Use the "Completed" checkbox for each activity to help track which lesson activities have been completed. This information will be visible to the teacher and shown as read-only to the Head of Department (HOD).
- View Only Access: HOD can view all other teachers' lesson plans as read-only.
- Filter Lessons: HOD can filter lessons by unit or multiple teachers.
- Unit Planner Integration: HOD can see several lessons created for specific units from the unit planner.
By following these steps, you can effectively use the Lesson Planner to create and manage comprehensive lesson plans for your subjects.
